Community Efforts

Li’l Farohars

Every Saturday, the children of our community gather at the Delhi Parsi Dharamsala to discover and learn about our religion, it’s history, our prayers, our culture and imbibe all the values that promote ‘Good Thoughts, Good Words, Good Deeds’.

All this is possible thanks to the untiring efforts of some of the women of our community, who give their time and energies voluntarily, with no thought of personal gain, but of larger community good.

DPA Youth Committee

The DPA Youth Committee attempts to provide a platform for the youth of our community, to get together and share their hopes and aspirations, as well as their fears and issues in the context of youth, as well as being a Parsi.

The  DPA Youth Committee regularly organises events around culture, education, and careers. And it also attempts to bring together adult and single Parsis, in the hope that they will find a life partner from within our small and fragmenting community of Parsis.

DPA Social Centre

The DPA Social Centre aims to help the community celebrate all festivals and Parsi occassions in the true spirit of Zoroastrianism. The Social Centre also organises from time to time events that bring the community together, to create a bond that is so rare to find in this cold hard world today.

The DPA Social Centre is run by the following member volunteers: Mrs Veera Mavalwala (Chairperson), Mrs Dhun Bagli, Mrs Bhikoo Manekshaw, Mrs Frenny Billimoria, Mrs Jaloo Sarkari, Mrs Nilufer Dhondy, Mrs Ruzin Master, Mrs Jasmine Marker, and Ms Sonali Khullar.
