Located in the heart of Delhi, the Delhi Parsi Dharamshala is easily accessible using private vehicles and public transport that includes Buses, Taxis, Autorickshaws, and Delhi Metro train services.
However given ever-changing diversions due to multiple development projects on-going in the National Capital Region, it is always best to speak with us when you arrive in the city and are headed to the Dharamshala.
To make things simple for you, here are some tips on how to get there (you can also print/email this page using buttons at the bottom):
Giving Instructions to your driver/taxi:
The Delhi Parsi Dharamshala
Next to Maulana Azad Medical College, Opposite Delhi Gate
On Bahadurshah Zafar Marg, New Delhi 110 002.
If you’re arriving from the New Delhi or Pragati Maidan side, it will be on your left when you come down Bahadurshah Zafar Marg, and go past Maulana Azad Medical College, and immediately after a small white dargah, and before the bus stop.
If you’re arriving from Old Delhi, or Aruna Asaf Ali Road, you will have to go down Bahadurshah Zafar Marg, past Ambdedkar Stadium, and the first available U-turn after the Petrol Pump.
If you’re arriving into Delhi by train:
There are three main railway stations in Delhi, and depending on where you arrive, the distance and time taken to the Dharamshala will vary. Prepaid Autos and Taxis are available at all three stations, and it is best to use these authorised services only. Unless you have organised your own private (or Radio Cab) pickup before hand.
- The New Delhi Railway Station (NDLS) is approximately 5 kms away, but the drive will take around 30 minutes after you get out of the station parking lot.
- The Old Delhi Railway Station (DLI) is between 4 and 6 kms away, depending on which route you take. This drive will take you around 30 minutes.
- The Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station (NZM) is between 8 and 10 kms away, depending on which route you take. The drive will take you around 45 minutes to an hour, depending on traffic.
The Interstate Bus Terminal:
In case you’re arriving by bus, or catching one out to the hills of North India, or headed out to Rajasthan, the main Interstate Bus Terminus (ISBT) is around 6 kms away, but the drive will take you around 30 minutes.
