Confessions to a Serial Womaniser

What links a hugging saint, a ground-breaking scientist who took on the multinationals, a French Resistance heroine who took on the Gestapo, a judge who took on Saddam Hussein, a high flier who was educated by an elephant, a spiritual giantess who danced with Fred Astaire, the original Cosmopolitan Girl, a politician who lives with two Oscars, a Bollywood actress worshipped by millions, a Chinese entrepreneur immortalized on a postage stamp and a princess who is able to touch her nose with her toes? They are just some of the extraordinary women you’ll encounter in Confessions to a Serial Womaniser: Secrets of the World’s Inspirational Women.

I recently came across news about the launch of a unique and exciting book and project entitled “Confessions to a Serial Womaniser”, by Zerbanoo Gifford, which features among others the following Zoroastrian women: Aban Marker Kabraji, Anu Aga, Arnaz Marker, Bachi Karkaria, Coomi Kapoor, Dhun Adenwalla, Dina Vakil, Jeroo Roy, Mahabanoo Mody-Kotwal, Maja Daruwalla, Meher Banaji, Meher Master Moos, Meher Moos, Pheroza Godrej, Shernaaz Engineer, Shernaz Vakil, Shireen Irani, Shireen Isal, Simone Poonawalla, Sooni Taraporevala, Zenobia Nadirshaw and of course author Zerbanoo Gifford.

In the book, which the first of its kind, author and social campaigner Zerbanoo Gifford documents the lives and careers of over 200 of the world’s most dynamic women from 60 countries and every field of endeavour. They speak frankly about everything: their mothers, families, education, men, gurus, love, feminism, fairy stories, failures and successes.

The proceeds from the sale of this book will go to The ASHA Centre, a charity fostering greater peace and understanding amongst diverse communities, especially the young. Located in the beautiful surroundings of the Royal Forest of Dean, England, The ASHA Centre is an international retreat that encourages community participation through a holistic programme of performing and visual arts, conservation projects and personal transformation.
