Courageous Parsi officer dies saving Navy colleagues
Mumbai, Aug 30 (PTI) An Indian Navy officer died due to head injuries while saving other sailors who had fallen into the sea from a submarine off the coast of Mumbai this morning. “Lieutenant Commander Firdaus D Moghal, Executive Officer of Indian Naval Submarine ”Shankush”, died in an accident off Mumbai while saving the lives of fellow personnel who had fallen in the sea,” Navy officials said… (continue reading the whole story on Yahoo! news here.)

I had known Firdaus as a young man in Mithibai college while we were full of hopes and dreams regarding our uncertain futures… Firdaus always came across as a noble soul… full of grace and strength.
